Double-layer Oak Parquet

Double-layer oak planks in our offer are made of two layers. It is a modern-style flooring which can be finished with oil of many colours matching your interior design.

Two layers of wood are glued together. The top, precious layer is 6 mm thick and is made of European oak. The bottom layer is a backing made of waterproof birch plywood. The finishing can have various forms: UV oil, natural oil, beveling, vertical brushing, side ageing and any color.

  • Characteristics

    PRIME CLASS : varied growth ring patterns (plain, rift and quarter sawn rings), relatively homogeneous colour, without any discolorations, small healthy knots of max. diameter of 1,5mm are allowed. Internal and external sapwood reaching the top surface is not allowed, root growth rings, cracks or manufacturing defects are not allowed.

    PRIME BIS : varied growth ring patterns (plain, rift and quarter sawn rings), small healthy knots of max. Ø 10 mm of wood colour and 8 mm dark knots are allowed. Small defects in the structure, overlapping growth rings, growth discoloration and root growth rings are allowed. External sapwood reaching the top surface, cracking and manufacturing defects are not allowed.

    PRIME / PRIME BIS CLASS: Prime and Prime Bis classes combined together.

    RUSTIQUE A CLASS: varied growth ring patterns (plain, rift and quarter sawn rings), max. 30 mm healthy knots and 25 mm dark knots, knot clusters, the so called „cat paws”, small discoloration, growth discoloration, overlapping rings, as well as root growth rings, small structure defects and incidental internal sapwood are allowed. External sapwood penetrating the top surface, cracking or manufacturing defects are not allowed.

    RUSTIQUE B CLASS: varied growth ring patterns (plain, rift and quarter sawn rings), root growth rings, overlapping fibers, knot clusters, healthy and bright knots up to 50 mm, dark knots up to 40 mm, internal and external sapwood are allowed. Discolorations, heartwood, cracking, structural defects and slight manufacturing defects are also allowed.
